RARE BREED
ANIMALS - CROSS STITCH
|
|
|
|
These are all
examples of animals which used to be in abundance in East
Anglia. The images contain a variety of embroidery stitches
making them interesting to work, but not too complicated. Each
kit contains: - DMC stranded cottons, needle, plain Aida,
charts, full instructions and yarn sample colour key. They also include a three-fold card for mounting and an
envelope. The
finished images fit a 6" x 4" (15.2 x 10.2 cm)
standard size picture frame. These animals are all British
rare breeds whose future is uncertain. They are shown in their
natural environments. See here
for delivery details.

| Notes: Bred
by the head steward of the Royal Norfolk Show in the early
20th century. This bird has a personality and is a good layer.
A cock weighs about 7lbs (3kg).
|
Notes: A
mix of two breeds the Suffolk Dun and the Norfolk Red it
grazes on low quality grass and produces good yields of milk
and meat. |
Notes: At
risk, the Saddleback is a quiet pig with a mothering instinct
second to none. It is quite a large pig and can produce up to
14 piglets in a single litter. |
