Needlepoint is a form of embroidery
worked on small scale canvas using half cross stitch. This form
of canvas work uses a traditional embroidery thread in a
different way. The technique creates a harmonious image in
miniature, similar in effect to a miniature painting. If you
like working in cross stitch, you will enjoy doing these because
they use stranded cotton. The original designs all began as
small paintings.
This range is ideal for people
who want to collect a series of designs, but have limited space
for displaying them. Small enough to be mounted as a group, each
single image will fit into a 6" x 4" (15.2 x 10.2 cm)
picture
frame. Each kit contains: - DMC stranded cotton, plain canvas,
charts, three-fold window mount card,
envelope, needles, yarn sample colour key and full instructions. Most images include over
stitching
